Hundreds of people consisting of officials, relatives, friends and families of the former Rwandan community chief in Mozambique, Louis Baziga gathered at Rusororo cemetery for his burial.
The head of the Rwandan community in Mozambique was gunned down in Maputo last week.
Baziga’s body arrived in Kigali on Monday from where he was murdered in Maputo on Friday evening.
Last week, reports indicated that Baziga was killed in his car at around 11 am Monday in the Matola region of the Mozambican capital, Maputo.
He was blocked by two vehicles as he drove in the suburb and gunmen from the cars pulled out guns and started shooting at his car. The bullets left him to die on spot.
Sources say, investigations by police in Maputo are underway to find out who is behind the death of the deceased.
Baziga was said to have had a running feud with a group of friends and family members who were not happy for his open support by the government in Kigali.

He had survived death attempts in 2016 and all Rwandans who were in connection with attempted murdered got arrested in connection, However, they were released without clear reasons.
The prime suspects in the murder attempt are Diomede Tuganeyezu, Benjamin Ndagijimana and Revocat Karemangingo.
Since 1994, southern African countries have been home to the thousands of Rwandans, refugees and legal migrants.
More than 5,000 are believed to be living in Mozambique.
