Rwandan and Senegalese Stylists Fashion show, along Intayoberana Group and Ismael LO, thrilled people in Senegal
Patrick Karamaga, the President of Rwandan community in Senegal explained that the 1st Edition of Festiv’Arts gathered Rwandan and Senegalese top stylists, Traditional Rwanda group Intayoberana and the top musician Ismael LO.
The Rwandan designers included Moshions by Moses Turahirwa, Karssh by Karen UWERA, Inkandahouse by Patrick Muhire and DavyK by Davy Caramel, on Senegalese side designers were Emma Styles and Collé Ardo Sow. The Festiv’Arts featured the renown international artist Ismael LO, one of the icon in Senegalese music. The Festiv’Arts aim was to share bilateral culture

“It was on Friday when we launched the Festival des Arts, D’est en Ouest’ at the Goréé Island with Goreé diaspora festival 19th Edition, and on Saturday we showcased the culture of Rwanda through a fashion show and traditional performances” Karamaga said.
Top four Rwandan Fashion Designers participated in this festival that took place in Radisson Blue Dakar.
Many sponsors joined to support this event and some of them like Orange, Ecobank would like to partner with us on longterm basis and make it an annual event. He named other sponsors including SNTT Logistics, Rwandair that paid flight tickets for Rwandan stylists and dancers, CSE Granulat of Senegal, INNOVA with Billboards all over Dakar, Emma Style from Senegal, and Collée Ardo Sow, the best in fashion Industry in Senegal also joined our effort.
“The festival was well organized; Rwandans and foreigners enjoyed the evening and appreciated all performers especially Intayoberana amazing performance. At the beginning we expected it to be a once in two years event, but our partners are committed to support it and make it every year event.
