Among the list of the countries released early this week, Rwanda was ranked 50 worldwide in internal security and police index.
Singapore is leading the list , Finland, Denmark ,Australia then Germany.

Rwanda is the the 2nd in Africa, after Botswana and other countries like South Africa, Morocco ,Mali, Tunisia, Egypt and son, follow.
The aim of the WISPI is to, firstly, measure security provider performance across the four domains of internal security: capacity, process, legitimacy and outcomes.
Secondly, to see how these domains relate to each other and finally to track trends in these domains over time, and to inform the work of security providing agencies, researchers, and practitioners in the field of peace and conflict studies, criminology, and police studies.
International Police Science Association (IPSA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 that brings under one roof of experts, researchers and scholars concerned with security work from all over the world.
IPSA convene an annual conference and created an international award to honor the achievements and contributions of the organizations and working professional worldwide, and has 3 categories: (1) Police Practices and Community Relations, (2) Development and Police Researches and (3) Innovation in Policing.
IPSA has three major projects and each with its own focus on (1) Security Knowledge Management through translating police sciences research into various languages; (2) Sharing of experience and expertise through conferences, workshops, seminars and training; (3) Assessment of policing performance through the annual report of World Internal Security and Police Index (WISPI).
