After holding a bilateral talk between Minister Louise Mushikiwabo and her counterpart His Highness Shaikh Abdelah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is in Rwanda in a two-day official visit aiming at deepening the strong Rwanda and UAE relationship, Rwanda and United Arab Emirates has signed two new Memoranda of Understanding in the areas of Technical cooperation.
These MoUs were signed by Louise Mushikiwabo, Rwanda Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community and Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy Minister of State for International Cooperation in UAE.
Following to the signed MoUs, UAE will provide 20 University Scholarships to Rwandans and vocational trainings to 100 Rwandan Women in Tourism and Hospitality.
The ceremony was witnessed by UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Highness Shaikh Abdelah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Rwanda Minister of education, Dr. Eugène MUTIMURA, Rwanda Minister Information, Technology and Communications, Jean de Dieu RURANGIRWA, Rwanda Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Olivier Nduhungirehe and other government officials from both sides.
During the last visit of Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Al Hashimy in Rwanda, on 28th December 2017a “Mutual Exemption of Entry Visa Requirements” agreement was signed.
The UAE officially opens its embassy in Kigali
At the occasion of the visit of UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Highness Shaikh Abdelah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE flag was raised at the new embassy in Nyarutarama, Kigali.
