Minister Mushikiwabo, was on Tuesday 9th January ,received by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on behalf of president of Rwanda Paul Kagame and said that Important changes are underway in our continental body, security matters, and strengthened Rwanda – Nigeria bilateral ties were on the menu!
Minister Mushikiwabo an envoy to H.E. Paul Kagame, was received at the State House, in Abuja, Nigeria , and delivered a message of stronger and expanded bilateral cooperation; synergies in transforming Africa to Nigerian President Buhari . The two sides had further talks on the issue of immigrants in Libya and the Nigeria President said the country is committed to bringing back 5037 Nigerian immigrants.
Buhari vowed as well, collaboration to his counterpart Paul Kagame who officially starts taking the helm as the President of African Union for a term of 1 year according to RBA.
Buhari sees Kagame as a solution for long standing security issues devastating African country as for South Sudan, Cameroonian independence fighters and the problem of arms scattered among civilians originating from especially Libya.
Minister Mushikiwabo told the Nigeria President that Kagame will look forward to see close collaboration in settling security issues in Sahel region and improvement and implementation of institution reforms of AU that are ongoing.
