Youth, women and men from different associations, churches and schools are expected to participate in Mentorship program Summit Season Two scheduled to take place Sunday, November 26 from 2:00 pm-7:00 pm at Univeristy of Rwanda’s College of Business and Economics in Gikondo.
The summit to be held under the theme of the book of Proverbs 17:17 “a friend loved at all times, and a brother is born for adversity,”was organised by Nkunda Bienvenue, a fresh graduate from University of Rwanda’s College of Business and Economics.
Mentorship programme is defined as a developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person.
Worldwide,many people, especially the youth, are suffering due to the fact that most of them are not aware of ways through which they can achieve their goals.The programme is only the crucial tool to shape their dreams as well as building confidence for future success.
The forthcoming summit follows Mentorship summit season One which took place in the mid of February 2017 and attracted over 170 partcipants.
According to Bienvenue Nkunda,the organiser, the summit will feature different sessions.There will be the panel session where five panelists will be discussing on the mentorship programme,its improtance and why is it needed.The particiapnts will be given time to ask questions about the programme.
Again, testomonies of the people who benefited from the previous summit will be shared.
Panelists include Ev.Emmanuel Kwizera,Pastor Isaih Misigaro,Yusuf Bahati, and Rosette Nkundimfura.
True Promises Ministries will entertain partcipants at the summit.
Nkunda explained that the main purpose of the programme is to mentor youth who are able to impact the future of the country by upholding religious and culture values.
He added that mentoring youth should be a regular course in the country as well as in other countries.Through the programme, youth will be able to fetch wisdom from elders.
Eric Ndoli,29, who attended Mentorship Summit season one tesfied that before he had believed to be wise and no need of mentorship,but he later discovered that he still needs more.
“As benefits of the previous summit, today I have my mentor whom I learn much from and I feel more confident. Having a mentor has improved my understanding and this has brought changes in my daily life.”
