In celebrating the 5th Groove Awards in Rwanda, different artists nominated from different categories were receiving their awards.
The ceremony began by passing on the red carpet and receiving nominees and other honorable guests. Then after Bishop Masengo from Four Square Church and Gisubizo ministry choir with shekinah group of worship helped people to get involved in the gospel mood.
Accordingly, this is how artists were receiving their awards:
1.The best male of the year: Israel Mbonyi
2.The best female of the year: Dinah Uwera
3. The best Choir of the year: Shalom Choir
4. The best new artist of the year: Jado Sinza
5.The best Song of the Year: Ndaguhetse by Gisubizo Ministry
6. The best Worship Song of the year: Imvugo yiwe by Bigizi Gentil
7. The best Hip hop song of the year: Yaguhenda by MD
8. The best video of the year: Yesu ni sawa by Olivier Kavutse
9.The best Dancing group of the year: Shekinah
10. The best Gospel Radio show of the year: Gospel image by RBA Musanze
11. The best Journalist of the year: Peace Nicodem Nzahowankuye from Magic Fm
12.The Gospel Tv show : Shalom gospel show from TV1
13. The best gospel website of the year: Ibyishimo.com
14.The best song Writer of the year: Israel Mbonyi
15.The best Audio producer of the year: Haragakiza Justin
16.The best video producer of the year: Producer Karenzo
17.The best Diaspora artist of the year: Romulus Rushimisha USA
Thereafter,The Express News talked to Dinah Uwera the best Female of the year to reveal the secret behind, and she replied :” I am excitely happy to receive this award from a tough competition, so this is the fruit of the prayer i made and i thank my audience for voting me, so this award is for those who have had faith on me. “
Shalom Choir which have been awarded as the best choir of the year, have made people dancing, and the president of this choir said:”This is a little signal which shows that even in heaven we shall be awarded by the Almight Lord, this is done to raise the glory of God.”
The Groove Awards 2017 have the motto “ Together We Can” as written in The Bible ,the book of Acts 1:14 “ All those with their wives, Mary the mother of Jesus and their relatives, will always prays with committed heart.” This is a promising fact which shows that Gospel artists can improve their lifestyle through their career, as Secure artists are benefiting from Guma guma superstar, Gospel artists can profit from Groove awards .
