The Stirling Foundation and doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation in partnership with Gikongoro Catholic Diocese , goverment of Rwanda and Groupe Scolaire Mere Du Verbe have launched a prestigious project aimed at constructing school’s infrastructures in order to create facilitative environment for the success of the school.
Gs Mere du Verbe is a secondary school located in Kibeho region, Nyaruguru district. The school was launched in 1968 and most of its infrastructures have been increasingly aging, that new buildings was needed to ensure the safety of the students.
The Stirling and doTERRA Healing Hands Foundations together with other partners have come with the exact response on this problem. The foundations, which are based in Utah, United States, have vowed to conduct a huge project of constructing at this school which will leave state-of-the-art dormitories, modern living quarters of the teachers, new kitchen and cafeteria, indoor toilets facilities and large barn in a far new and modern look.
New Dormitories Under Construction
The facilities are intended to provide students and their teachers with educational facilities and living accommodations that will enable them to excel in their moral and educational development so that the students will become successful fathers and mothers, future leaders in their communities and a great blessing to the country.
The foundations themselves have a strong commitment to provide humanitarian aid and assistance according to Christian values, which have guided their main founders, David and Laurea Stirling of Utah. The pair considered strengthening children and family as an important aspect of life, and so their foundations would focus on them.
Both foundations, which reached in Rwanda through their Rwandan friend, Immaculee Ilibagiza, initiated to run their activities in Rwanda after being impressed by the government’s efforts to revamp the country from 1994 Genocide tragedies. Beside this particular project, foundations do have other activities. Among them are to provide funding to assist and develop Austisme Rwanda, an autism school in Kigali which the first program of its kind in the whole country.
They also fund a project to custom build and distribute specialized wheelchairs to the disabled youth in Rwanda. The construction of modern toilet facilities at Gikongoro Petit Seminaire Saint Jean Paul II is also under their watch.
These dormitories are expected tobe inaugurated on June 8, 2019, where The Sterling and doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation will handover the new buildings to the school expected to acquire 60 students each, provided with all necessities including mattress, beds, boards, washing rooms, elevators and more other necessary materials.
