The National Itorero Commission (NIC) has announced the dates for the forthcoming intake of a civic education programme (Itorero) designed for the young Rwandans pursuing their studies abroad.
According to the commission, the group under the Indagamirwa twelfth edition will start Itorero from June 24th to August 7th, 2019.
In a statement recently issued by NIC signed by Edouard Bamporiki the commission chairman, young Rwandans from abroad were encouraged to apply for the itorero via online portals.
They were urged to register via NIC website, the Ministry of education website as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
“The course shall prepare and equip with each trainee with Rwandan values and understanding necessary to meet the requirements of the development and national transformation process of their mother country, Rwanda,” The statement read in part.
The applicants were asked to apply voluntary and present their National Identification or student card among other requirements.
The Indangamirwa civic education programme for Rwandan youths from Diaspora started in 2008 and has so far benefitted 3,168 young Rwandans, according to officials.
