President Paul Kagame is on Tuesday expected to interact with residents of Nyamagabe District, Southern Province as part of his Citizen Outreach programme.
The President accompanied by senior government officials will interact with citizens from Nyamagabe and surrounding districts.
This is the second day of the President’s tour of Southern Province.
On Monday evening, President Kagame was in Huye District where he met with opinion leaders from the province.
In his engagement with them, he challenged them to have the right mindset in tackling societal challenges such as poverty and infrastructure deficit among others.
Mindset change, he said, should also be evident through adoption of ways and approaches to solutions.
He reminded leaders that when addressing poverty, it should not be seen as a favour to citizens but a collective initiative for the wellbeing of all.
President Kagame also expressed concern on accountability and proper use of state resources meant for citizen welfare. TNT
