The Rwanda National Police reports security to have been calm and that no major incidents were recorded during the festive season country wide as quoted, the Spokesperson of Rwanda National Police ACP Theos Badege.
In its tweet quotes the National Police said that general security has been reported to be free from major incidents of insecurity country wide and that all was due to the partnership from all security organs and the public which are committed to insuring safety and security.
A tweet by spokesperson ACP Theos Badege reads “ACP @TheosBadege: #RNP in partnership with other security organs and the public remains committed to ensuring safety and security for all. Happy New Year 2018”
The spokesperson also made the same comments speaking to RBA ON general situation of security during the festive season.
In the busy Period of festive season security of the Public may be vulnerable to danger as people may behave different from their normal ways of doing mostly due to happiness and consequently loosing attention of their personal security.
That kind of concern of the National Police may be shown from previous announcements warning and calling people on how to behave during the festive season to ensure the security environment is upheld.
On the eve of New Year the National Police had issued an announcement to the public as a caution not to get frightened by the fireworks which were expected to be fired at midnight of the New Year to mark celebrations and excitements.
