Minister Louise MUSHIKIWABO holds the paramount discussions with her Ethiopian counterpart, Dr.Workneh Gebeyehu, in Kigali Rwanda .
On the speaking occasion , Minister Mushikiwabo said that the relationship between two countries should be a source of cooperation and mutual benefit. The Minister, commending previous achivements, stressed the need for continued consultation and coordination on matters of regional and international importance.
Dr. Workneh noted that apart from the cultural and historical ties that have bound Ethiopia and Rwanda, the relationship between the two countries is progressing in all fronts in the last two decades.
He added that the two Governments have been frequently sharing their best experiences above and beyond consulting and coordinating their positions on matters of regional and international importance.
The need for Ethio-Rwanda trade and investment co-operation has also been highlighted as the major area the two countries should work further on.
Last year, the two countries signed an agreement to open their airspace allowing their national carriers to operate without restrictions.
In April 2017,Rwanda and Ethioia agreed up on the new areas of partnerships;in the fields of education, tourism and mutual legal assistance.
