Ugandan police are investigating a series of hand grenade attacks on homes of opposition members of parliament with the latest perpetrated on Tuesday morning in the capital Kampala.
Explosions were heard Tuesday dawn from the homes of two legislators – Allan Ssewanya and Robert Kyagulanyi – who said no one was hurt and windows were shattered by the explosives.
They said they are being targeted for opposing the removal of age limits which resulted in a fracas in parliament and arrest of 24 opposition legislators last week.
The police spokesperson Asan Kasingye said they are investigating the incident and the allegations are baseless until the investigations prove otherwise, he told local media portal Daily Monitor.

Allan Ssewanya, MP for Makindye West posted pictures of the damage at his Makindye home and the remnants of the grenade on Facebook as he called for help.
Musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, also made a post on Facebook about the attack on his house at Magere saying it is the second time in two days.
“Grenades have for the second time in two days been thrown at my house and exploded. Property damaged and no one hurt! But what kind of country are we now living in?” he posted, adding that he had been receiving death threats due to his opposition of the removal of age limits.
“Anonymous calls targeting not only me but my family as well. I have been told that ‘if I don’t leave that thing a lone, I will just be terminated or disabled,” he added.
